This past summer my cousin was visiting from out of state and we took her on the Ferry to Pea Patch Island to tour Fort Delaware, learning some history about our state. We had an informative tour guide as well as spoke with some of the "revolutionaries" who were milling around there. We even witnessed a cannon firing demonstration!
Then we walked around the park area, enjoyed the downtown shops and had lunch at Crabby Dick's. Great views of the river while enjoying some great food!
This is a picture I took of the historic Delaware City Hotel from our ferry on our way over to Pea Patch Island.
All in all, it was an interesting day!
